Recent decades have witnessed the development and pervasive implementation of computer and other information technologies throughout societies across the world. There is consensus that the exchange and transformation of knowledge through information technologies is a feature of modern societies. Information technologies provide the tools for the creation, collection, storage and use of knowledge as well for communication and collaboration (Kozma, 2003).
